EDITORIAL STANDARDSEvidence first.
Accountability always.
These principles govern NEWSROOM reporting, analysis, contributor submissions and attributed source material. They apply across finance, geopolitics, business and technology coverage.
01Horizon scanning and corroboration
AI assisted monitoring may surface an emerging event or pattern, but repetition alone does not make a claim true. Before NEWSROOM publishes a synthesis, editors seek confirmation from multiple independent credible sources and trace material claims to primary evidence wherever possible.
02Accuracy and verification
We seek primary documents, direct records and knowledgeable sources. Material claims should be supported before publication, and uncertainty must be described honestly rather than hidden behind confident language.
03Sources and attribution
Readers should be able to tell where information came from. External headlines and excerpts remain attributed and link to the original publisher. Anonymous sourcing requires a clear public interest reason and additional editorial scrutiny.
04Editorial independence
NEWSROOM is independently owned. News judgment is based on relevance, evidence and public interest. Sponsored, submitted or promotional material must never be presented as independent reporting.
05Corrections and updates
We correct material errors promptly and make meaningful updates visible through the article record. Readers can report a possible error to press@newsroom.llc with the article URL and supporting evidence.
06Conflicts and disclosure
Contributors must disclose relevant financial, professional or personal interests. Editors may add disclosure notes, request changes or decline work when a conflict could compromise or reasonably appear to compromise the article.
07Responsible use of AI
Automation may assist with horizon scanning, research organization, transcription, classification or drafting, but it does not replace verification or editorial judgment. AI generated claims require source checking, and an editor remains responsible for every published article.
